He is also Public Service columnist of CQ Amateur Radio magazine and Pop'Comm's Washington Beat columnist. A co-founder of the Adventure Radio Society, he has been licensed since 1965 and has held callsigns WN1DWL, WA1DWL, WA4KTN, N2EVH, N6MKA and nu6SN. KI6SN lives in Riverside, CA.
